Former researcher at the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC-Portugal).
Nowadays, Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Barreiro School of Technology, Polytechnic University of Setubal, Portugal.
Researching on service life of reinforced concrete structures, special and sustainable concretes, such as recycled aggregates concrete.
Also carried out relevant consulting activity within the frame of concrete quality control, inspection and appraisal of reinforced concrete structures.
