The SAPIEN Center of Excellence - South and Atlantic Pedagogical Innovation & Excellence Network (CE) is an institutional structure with the general purpose of supporting the sustainable development of a culture and professional practice of pedagogical competence and innovation. It promotes the implementation of quality teaching practices aimed at training students to handle the challenges of the present and future, in line with the recommendations of the A3ES document "Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education" (2022).

Pedagogical innovation refers to a set of practices designed to foster knowledge construction and skill development, structured as experiences that are tailored to the content, appropriate to the context, and compatible with the characteristics of both teachers and students.
