PRIMED: Plataforma de imagiologia médica de precisão para melhorar as tarefas de medicina personalizada na deteção e diagnóstico de doenças crónicas não transmissíveis

This project aims to develop a ‘precision medical imaging platform to improve personalised medicine tasks in the detection and diagnosis of chronic non-communicable diseases’, which will include the methodology, tools and services to overcome the identified limitations, particularly cancer, contributing dramatically to the emergence of a new era of faster, more accurate and less expensive diagnostics, prognostics and treatment outcome predictions based on large-scale machine/deep learning and federated learning. Among the main contributions of the Primed project is the creation of the methodology and structure necessary for the discovery and validation of quantitative medical imaging biomarkers (QBI) through the effective combination of multidimensional data (clinical, omics, epidemiological, etc.). One of PRIMED's main objectives will be to build trust in the tools developed among all stakeholders in the health ecosystem.
