Biography
Ana Cláudia Sousa is an Assistant Professor at the Barreiro School of Technology, Setúbal Polytechnic Institute, and a collaborator at MARE - Centre for Marine and Environmental Sciences.
She has a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and a PhD in Biotechnology from the Instituto Superior Técnico, where she also completed her master's degree in the same field.
With over two decades of experience in higher education, she has worked in the areas of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biophysics, Separation Processes and Bioremediation. Her research is part of the One Health approach, focusing on bioremediation, the sustainability and resilience of ecosystems and the promotion of health literacy.
At the same time, he has stood out for his investment in pedagogical innovation, coordinating and participating in projects that promote the diversification and improvement of teaching and learning methodologies.
