Biography
Ana Cristina Rolo has been Coordinating Professor of the Department of Business Sciences and Communication at the School of Technology (ESTS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) since 2024. From 1998 to 2024, she taught in the Department of Economics and Management at the School of Business Sciences (ESCE) of the same institute. In 2015, she obtained her PhD in Management from the University of Évora. She participated as a researcher in two EU-funded projects (KABADA – and EUDRES). She is co-author of two books, several book chapters and articles in international and national journals.
Her main areas of research are: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Quality, Project Management, Production Management, Operations Management, Social Responsibility and Sustainability. She was a member of the Scientific Council of ESCE and the executive committee of DEG (Department of Economics and Management). She was director of the Master's Degree in Business Science (2022-2024), having supervised several master's theses, and Coordinator of CTeSP in Support of Social Organisation Management (2018-2022).
She is an ANQEP expert in several EQAVET audits for the award of quality labels in vocational schools. She is currently part of the ENVOLVER project and the EUDRES 2.0 network.
