Biography
Carla Maria de Almeida Amorim Carneiro completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) in 2002. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at the School of Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Her research focuses on the interface between Microbiology and Materials Science, a promising and emerging field in applied biochemistry.
She has published two articles in specialized journals in 2018–2019 and has produced three items of technical output. She has supervised 13 undergraduate theses and 4 specialization course monographs in the field of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Carneiro has received two awards and distinctions for her academic and professional contributions. Her work is mainly within the area of Exact Sciences, with an emphasis on Biochemistry.
