Carmen Caeiro

Biography

Carmen Caeiro has a PhD in physiotherapy from the University of Brighton, in the United Kingdom. She has also a bachelor honours degree in physiotherapy from the Health School of Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Carmen Caeiro works as a coordinator professor at Health School of Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, with responsibilities in the undergraduate and postgraduate education in physiotherapy. Currently, she is the coordinator of the degree in physiotherapy. She is also member of the Scientific Council of the Health School and member of the Ethics Committee of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Carmen Caeiro is also a researcher integrated in the Comprehensive Health Research Center. She has been member of the research teams of several project such as "SPLIT – Stratified care for low back pain", "SARA – Cocreation of telerehabilitation service for delivering care to individuals with low back pain (proof of concept), "SHARE - Health and Humanities Working Together" and “MyBack – personalized exercise and behaviour change programme”. Currently, she is member of the research team of the project SPLIT PaSSus 2030 and responsible for the project "Selfie - Supported self-management of fibromyalgia - Co-designing health solutions".
