Biography
Cátia Rodrigues began her professional career in the tourism sector in 1998 and has since developed a diverse career in areas such as tourism animation, hospitality, catering, events, tourist information, and guided tours.
She holds a degree in Tourism and Leisure, a postgraduate diploma in Portuguese Culture, a master’s degree in Tourism Heritage Management, and a doctorate in Tourism.
Since 2008, she has been dedicated to training and teaching, contributing to the qualification of numerous professionals, both young and adult, in the sector. She is currently a lecturer at the School of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (ESCE/IPS), where she is part of the Department of Economics and Management.
Her research and interest areas include tourism and hospitality, human resource management, and entrepreneurship. Throughout her career, she has combined practical experience with academic reflection, promoting an applied and results-oriented approach.
She is recognized for her entrepreneurial spirit, natural leadership, and dedication to teaching and, especially, to her people.
