Biography
Celiana Azevedo holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from NOVA University of Lisbon (2018) and a degree in Social Communication – Journalism from the Universidade Federal do Tocantins (Brazil), recognized by the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (ESE-IPS), and a researcher at the Institute of Communication of NOVA University of Lisbon (ICNOVA). She is also an active member of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (SOPCOM).
Her academic achievements have been recognized with the Melhores Mestres 2012/2013 and Novos Doutores – Quadro de Honra 2017/2018 awards from NOVA University of Lisbon. She has participated as a researcher in four projects in the field of Social Sciences, with a particular focus on Communication Sciences. Her main research interests include Information and Communication Technologies, audiences, intergenerational solidarity, generations, gerontology, the history of journalism, and cultural journalism.
