Biography
Diogo André da Fonseca Pires completed his Doctorate in Public Health in July 2020 at the Nova University of Lisbon, National School of Public Health. He earned a Master's Degree in Physiotherapy with a specialization in Musculoskeletal Conditions in 2014 from Nova University of Lisbon, National School of Public Health, and also from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, School of Health. Additionally, he holds a Master's Degree in Physiotherapy - Specialization in Musculoskeletal Conditions from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Nova University of Lisbon, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy in 2011 from the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, School of Health Dr. Lopes Dias. He is a Researcher at the Comprehensive Health Research Centre and an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, School of Health. He has published 16 articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored 1 book chapter. He is supervisor of 2 doctoral theses, guided 16 master's dissertations, and co-supervised 3. He has received 2 awards and/or honors. He has participated or is participating as a Researcher in 1 project. His work focuses on the field of Medical and Health Sciences, particularly with an emphasis on Health Outcomes and Epidemiology.
