Biography
Hugo Miguel Martins Alves Franco completed his PhD in Nursing at the Portuguese Catholic University – Lisbon (2024), his Master's Degree in Nursing Sciences (2014) and his Specialisation in Medical-Surgical Nursing (2012), both at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. He graduated in Nursing from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (2004) and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the Francisco Gentil School of Nursing – Lisbon (1998).
He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, where he is a member of the Scientific Council and the Pedagogical Council. He also coordinates the area of international mobility in the Department of Nursing.
His scientific output includes 14 articles in specialist journals, 13 book chapters and 1 book. He has organised 18 scientific events and participated in 16. He has supervised 5 master's dissertations. He has received 3 awards and/or distinctions. He participates and/or has participated as a researcher in 3 research projects.
