Biography
Vítor Manuel Rodrigues Viegas completed his PhD (2012), Master's (2003) and Bachelor's (1999) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Lisbon. He is an Assistant Professor at the Naval Academy and a Visiting Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.
His scientific output includes 14 articles in specialist journals, 5 book chapters and 1 registered patent. He has co-supervised 2 Master's dissertations and supervised 8 Bachelor's degree final projects. He has been awarded 1 prize and participates or has participated as a researcher in 5 projects.
He works in the areas of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science, focusing on topics such as electronics, instrumentation and measurements, automation and industrial computing.
