The elderly population was, in the pandemic situation (COVID 19), the most affected, either because of the risk perspectives associated in particular with this virus, or because of the break in their daily routines, in particular the elderly who attended day care centers (still no prospect of reopening). Since March 2020, the confinement of the elderly population to their homes cannot be minimized through digital sources, as happened with children, young people and adults, once most of the elderly do not have digital skills or access to it. Residential confinement, increase feelings of loneliness, abandonment, anxiety and weakness, forcing as people to a higher level of sedentarism, with negative consequences on well-being and health, decreasing their quality of life. Following the previous project idoSOS – um dedo de conversa funded by IPS Solidário, it is our main goal to contribute, in the context of pandemics moments, find efficient strategies to break the social isolation of the elderly population, value it and reinforce the skills to face emergency situations. It will be used an intervention strategy, “Photovoice”, to test as an aggregating element of two scientific areas - the Social Sciences and the Arts and analyze its effectiveness. The weekly telephone contact made by the undergraduate students in Animation and Sociocultural Intervention will establish an interaction with the elderly, people from two day care centers in Setúbal municipality, one in rural and the other from urban area. In addition to telephone contact, will take place face to face visits, following the social distance and all the measures necessary in this epidemic situation
