The strategic policy for the area of scientific research at the Polytechnic of Setúbal, integrates the following lines of action:
- Support the creation and development of UI&IPS, EGP-IPS and/or Collaborative Laboratories accredited by the FCT in conjunction with the strategic priorities of the OUs involved, and provide You will gain the necessary resources and skills that promote your success in strategic areas of research at IPS.
- Consolidate the policy of stimulus and incentive to carrying out R&D+i activities.
- Promote the alignment of R&D+i activities with the training offered by IPS.
- Strengthen research through cooperation with external national and international entities, particularly in the development of research projects by attracting external funding.
- Promote the dissemination, dissemination and exploration of scientific results.
- Stimulate and consolidate different types of service provision and scientific consultancy work, relevant to organizations, in the different scientific and laboratory domains of the IPS.
- Propose a governance structure.
