RESILIENCE promotes talk on European Projects with Américo Mateus

On July 9, 2024, at 12:30 PM, RESILIENCE - Center for Regional Resilience and Sustainability will host a talk titled "Alchemy and Transdisciplinarity as Key Elements in the Construction of Applied Research Projects" with Américo Mateus.

Américo Mateus, a professor and researcher at ISMAT | Lusófona Education in Portimão, will share his extensive experience in European projects and applied research. As the coordinator of the Strategic and Expanded Design Research Group at DESIGN ID and the Principal Investigator of the COCOON project, focused on co-creating greener futures, Mateus has worked on over 60 applied research projects. His areas of expertise span from Participatory Design, Nature-Based Solutions, Circular Economy, to Biodesign.

Américo Mateus is recognized for his role in the Taskforce 6 of the European Commission, where he works on co-creation of Nature-Based Solutions, and serves as the Director of the HUB Portugal for Nature-Based Solutions, appointed by the EU's NetworkNature. His career as a senior innovation facilitator and speaker in both national and international forums is highly regarded.
