VineSentinel is a project that aims to develop a digital platform with a mobile application as its main user interface designed to enhance vineyard management through real-time monitoring and intelligent decision support. It will provide a Crop Field Decision Support System (DSS) that leverages the Thermal & Multispectral EO Dataset (LANDSAT) along with historical weather and land elevation data to generate actionable insights for farmers. Using advanced AI algorithms, the system will enable the inference of critical farm tasks such as disease detection and crop yield prediction, ensuring timely and informed decision-making. Integrated Explainable AI (XAI) techniques will provide transparency, tailoring insights to different stakeholders' expertise levels.
The mobile application will serve as the primary interface, allowing vineyard managers, agronomists, and farm workers to visualize satellite-based insights, annotate field observations, and coordinate treatment strategies. In alignment with the Vineyard Management Pilot, VineSentinel will contribute to precision viticulture by enhancing data-driven decision-making and resource efficiency while maintaining adaptability to diverse operational conditions.
