Biografia
Graduated in Informatics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1984),
Master in Systems and Computer Engineering (1990), Ph.D. in Science and Technology/Informatics - University of London (1996),
Post-doctoral Internship at Oxford University - Learning Technologies Group (2010) and at the University of Lisbon - Teacher Training and Technologies (2019).
He worked professionally at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and at the Postgraduate Program in Informatics (PPGI/UFRJ).
He also participates in the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Informatics in Education and the Electronic Journal of the Master's Degree in Environmental Education. Member of the Brazilian Special Committee on Information Technologies and Education.
Today he develops teaching and research activities at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal - Portugal.
He has experience in the areas of Computer Science and Education, with an emphasis on Computing Systems for teaching.
Interested mainly in the following topics: Computer Science Teaching, Technologies in Education, Robotics, Computational Modeling and Teaching, AI Literacy and Science Teaching with new Technologies.
