Biografia
José Luís Estrelo Gomes de Sousa completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering (Pré-Bolonha) in 2013 at the Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia. He also earned a Master's degree in Systems and Automation in 2000 and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993 from the same institution. He is currently an Adjunct Teacher at the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal and serves as Pro-President at the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal.
He has published 14 journal articles, participated in 6 events, co-supervised 3 MSc dissertations, supervised 4 undergraduate projects, and co-supervised 1. He has been involved as a researcher in 1 project and has collaborated with 52 co-authors in his professional activities. His curriculum highlights frequent terms such as energy efficiency, promotion of energy efficiency in utilities, integrated optimization of energy resources, demand response, energy management systems, and smart grids.
