Biografia
Nuno Costa is with the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal – Setúbal School of Technology – Mechanical Engineering Department (https://www.estsetubal.ips.pt/) since 1995.
He holds a PhD in Industrial Management, and his scientific works have been published in indexed (WoS-Clarivate and Scopus: h_index = 12) journals and presented in international conferences as well.
Nuno Costa got seven awards in international conferences, published five book chapters, and is a member of Editorial Board in indexed journals.
He has also acting as reviewer for various indexed journals and conferences.
Research and teaching activities are developed in the areas of Operations and Quality Management (in industry and healthcare), and are focused on Design and Analysis of Experiments (RSM and Taguchi methods), Statistical Quality Control, Acceptance Sampling, 6-Sigma and Lean Management. Nuno Costa has also acting as consultant, namely in the implementation of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
