Agenda Drivolution

The SMARTER project arises from a partnership between Introsys, together with SMP, FCT-UNL and IPS and consists of the development of an intelligent paint analysis tool, with special emphasis on car bumpers, since certain pigments promote the reflection of colors differently according to the surface geometry and the position of the observer. This project aims to obtain a fully automated tool to evaluate and align the color system and thus standardize its appearance. The system will have the ability to detect defects occurring in the painting process and will carry out the evaluation of color perception through the programming of a series of cameras. In addition, the project will explore and validate the integration of process optimization with the development of a framework for processing different data streams. The products resulting from this project will improve the defect identification strategy even on surfaces with complex geometry, as well as reduce the cost and waste of the processes.
